T Shyne Aqua Integrated Nig. Ltd. (RC NO 9295695) is an integrated aquaculture business in Ogbomoso, Oyo State. We breed and raise catfish, tilapia, and Heteroclarias hybrids — and document the work on a public daily journal because Nigerian fish buyers deserve to know what they're paying for.
Nigeria eats far more fish than it farms. Most of the difference is bridged by frozen imports — fish that left the ocean weeks ago, in another country, with no way to verify how it was kept along the way.
Local aquaculture is the obvious answer. The species are right (catfish, tilapia, Heteroclarias all thrive here). The land is right. The labour is right. What's been missing is trust — small farms that can be cross-checked and held to a standard.
